Richard D. Smith, DDS
Dr Smith is a Graduate of The Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry. He also earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in History and Bachelor of Science in Pre-Dental from North Carolina State University. Dr Smith takes continuing education classes with a focus on Cosmetic Dentistry and Invisalign. When not working he enjoys spending time with his family and serving as a Deacon at New Hope Christian Church
Karen L. Hutchison, DMD
Dr Hutchison is a graduate of the University of Mississippi Medical Center, School of Dentistry. She is a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Phi Kappa Phi Dental Fraternity, Roanoke Valley Dental Society; and the Big Lick Study Club. Dr Hutchison enjoys working with children, and sees most of the pediatric patients. She is also licensed to practice in Mississippi.
Andrew D. Levine, DDS
Dr Levine is a graduate of Emory Dental School in Atlanta GA and graduated in 1976. He has spent over 30 years practicing in Florida before joining our team. He has spent in excess of 300 continuing education hours learning the latest restorative; implant and cosmetic dental techniques and can offer these to his patients. He and his wife Toni, a Roanoke native, have settled in the area to be with her family.
Sariah L. Richardson, DDS
Dr Richardson is a graduate of the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry. She also earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Bringham Young University. Dr Richardson takes several hours of continuing education each year to make sure she stays up to date with the latest in dentistry. She is very active in her church, volunteers at the Roanoke Valley SPCA, and enjoys spending time with her Husband and two dogs.
Hygienists
Annie Parcell
Annie joined our team in February 2012. She attended Roanoke College and graduated from Virginia Western's Dental Hygiene Program in May of 2011. Annie resides in Franklin County and enjoys the outdoors running, kayaking, and hiking. She also enjoys reading, spending time with her family, and attending Faith Fellowship Church.
Brenda Dillon
Brenda has been a member of our team since 2001. She takes several hours of continuing education courses each year to make sure she stays up to date with the constant changes in oral health. She received her certificate in Dental Assisting from Virginia Western Community College in 1983. In 1986 she received her Associates in Applied Science in Dental Hygiene from Virginia Western Community College in 1986. She is an active member in the American Dental Hygienists Association. In her spare time she enjoys swimming, flower gardening and drawing. She also enjoys spending time with her daughter Kacy.
Joan Carnera
Joan joined our team in 2009. She received her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from the University of TN in 1983. She has been practicing in the Roanoke Valley since 1989. She loves her job, and she is great with our patients. Joan resides in Botetourt Co with her husband Doug and their 2 daughters Samantha and Brooke. She enjoys spending time with her family when she is not working.
Chris Whitefleet
Chris joined our team in July 2010 she Graduated from Virginia Western Dental Hygiene Program in May 2010. She was a dental assistant for 11 years. So she has many years experience in all aspects of dentistry. Chris was born and raised in Watertown SD and she spent 5 years in the US Marine Corps. When Chris is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband Mark, and her 2 boys Bill and Matthew.
Taylor Clifton
Taylor joined our team in July of 2012. She graduated from Virginia Western's Dental Hygiene program in May of 2011. After working for a year in pediatrics, Taylor decided to change directions and move to the Roanoke Valley. In her spare time, Taylor enjoys swimming, knitting, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
Ashley Spencer
Ashley is from Martinsville VA, is a 2004 graduate of Carlisle School, 2008 graduate of East Tennessee State University, and a 2010 graduate of Virginia Western Community College. She has an associates degree in Applied Health Sciences in Dental Hygiene and a Bachelor's degree in Public Health Administration with a minor in Management. She has been living and working in Roanoke as a hygienist since graduating. She enjoys reading, crafts, and outdoor activities. She loves spending time with her cat, Cosmo, her boyfriend, Andrew, her twin sister, April, and her cousin, Taylor.
Azita Sarmadi
Azita moved to Roanoke in 1996. She has a Bachelors degree in Art from Azad University Tehran/ Iran and an associate degree in applied science from Virginia Western CC. Azita won an award form Virginia dental Hygiene associations for student excellence.
Assistants
Loriann Webb
Lori Ann has been a member of our team since 2002. She is Dr. Smith’s main assistant. She is very meticulous in her work as an assistant, and takes her job very seriously. She will make sure all of your dental needs are met. When she is not working she enjoys spending time with her family, son Evan, and reading when she has time.
Cindy Richards
Cindy joined our team in 2009, she is Dr Levine’s 2nd assistant. She enjoys assisting and getting to know out patients. She grew up in Rockbridge Co and moved to the Roanoke Valley 4 years ago. When she is not working she enjoys spending time with her husband, 2 sons, and her dog Mollie. Cindy also enjoys gardening, and cooking. She is also very active in her church
Debra Boitnotte
Debbie has been with our team since 2003. She loves her job as our Sterilization Tech. She makes sure all of our computers and cameras are properly functioning. She enjoys spending time with her husband, sons, and her many animals.
Pat Beckner
Pat was born in Heidelberg Germany. She began her dental career as a chair-side assisted in 1989. Pat has spent over a decade working in periodontics and has been a volunteer for the Mission of Mercy project as well as the Bradley Free Clinic. In Pat's spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling and shopping.
Marcella Smith
Marcella joined our team in 2012. She is a veteran of the United States Army serving in the medical corps as a combat medic specializing in oral maxillary facial trauma. As Dr. Hutchison's assistant she enjoys working on the children in our practice. Marcella is a member of the Roanoke Fashionistas a local organization that uses fashion to support charities like Autism Speaks, AHA, and victims of domestic violence. She is currently a student studying forensic psychology.

Angela Crouch
Front Office Supervisor
Angela joined the Hunting Hills staff in 2011 after being a tissue banking coordinator for 14 years. Angela also served Roanoke as a Volunteer Rescue Squad member. She loves interacting with our patients and most enjoys helping them understand their treatment plans as well as insurance benefits. When Angela isn’t working she enjoys going to the gym, horseback riding and spending time with her Great Dane, Sadie.
Mona Smith
Office Manager
Mona has been working as a certified dental assistant for 20 years. She attended Coastal Carolina Community College where she studied Business Management. Originally from WV, Mona moved to Roanoke Va in 1999 and began working as Dr. Smith's assistant that same year. She also opened our Hunting Hills practice with Dr Smith in 2001 and has continued work as Office Manager/ Dental Assistant for over 11 years. In her spare time she enjoys traveling to warmer places and spending time with her husband Rich, son Alan, and daughter Peyton.
Amy Bryson
Scheduling Coordinator
Amy is new to the practice and to the Commonwealth. Moving recently from Music City, Nashville, TN, with a background of Real estate and small business development. She is happy to be a part of an amazing team and family. Amy spends her time working on her minni farm outside of New Castle and enjoys every smile she encounters.
Shirley Bowers
Shirley has been a member of our team since 2004. She is a huge asset to our team. She will greet you with her warm smile and great personality. Our patients and staff love her. She has been in Dentistry for over 30 years. When she is not working she enjoys spending time with her dog Mollie. She also loves to head home to TN when she can.
Dawn Jones
Dawn has been a member of our team since March 2010. She will help you with all of your dental insurance needs. She enjoys meeting and working with patients. Dawn was raised in the Roanoke Valley and she is a graduate of Salem High School and attended VA Western. When Dawn is not working she enjoys spending time with her husband and son.

Heather began her career as a dental assistant, following her mother's footsteps into the same field. Heather enjoys all aspects of the ever evolving world of dentistry from treatment planning to chairs-side assisting. When Heather isn't busy at the office, she's spending time with her husband Matt, step-son Travia and dogs Eliza and Cole
