Bonding

BeforeAfter

If the teeth are chipped, cracked, misaligned, or discolored, a plastic putty-like resin is used to rebuild the teeth and make them look natural. Usually this procedure lasts 3-5 years before needing touch-up for wear or discoloration.

After preparation of the tooth, a composite resin is applied and shaped to fill in chips or to correct other problems.

The resin is exposed to a bonding light that dries and hardens it. Then the tooth is smoothed and polished.
